The Red Sox are 7 games out now, and looking feisty. Up 3-1 over the Rays in the sixth inning.

That team that the Red Sox are playing against is doing pretty good in the division, also.

They beat the Red Sox in the first 2 games of the current series that they are playing, last night and earlier this afternoon.

They are in 1st place, half a game ahead of the Yankees.

Thankfully you are around with your wet blanket to keep everyone in check!

This thread is embarrassing at this point. Why do we care if the Yankees lose a game? Every team loses games during the season.  We aren't catching them.  If they lose their next 60 games odds are we will still be behind them.

They LOST!!! So we're a game behind now!!!

It's the six games that the Orioles/Royals play in August that will be a key factor in deciding who gets the 2020 #1 draft pick. No need to to get upset in the first week of June. :)

Plus who knows how many players Elias will trade away by August. Easy peasy.

Miami could still overtake us both!

And let's face it, 1-1 is the best, but 1-2 or 1-3 is still pretty darn good! We could still have gotten Bobby Witt Jr. or whoever this year.

The Rays just took 3 out of 4 games from the Red Sox. They are tied with the Yankees for 1st place.

Overall they have won 5 out of their last 6, 11 out of their last 16, and 13 out of their last 19.

Nice to see the Rays rebound after they fell out of first place.

Yankees split.

I almost was going to post that all the teams in the AL East lost but the O's today.  But then I remembered the Yankees had a doubleheader today.
