Thoughts & Prayers With Fan Struck at Fenway

Bad night for Boston teams. I was at the Portland Sea Dogs v Bowie game yesterday when a foul ball was hit into the stands. It was a high pop up and a man tried to catch it, missed it, but was estate when it rebounded up to just above head height for him to catch it. Then the realization kicked in, it was little league night at the park and the rebound had been off the top of the head of a 6 year old girl. She was shaken but never lost consciousness. Let's hope she is okay as well.

I think baseball will put netting further down the base lines towards the dugouts. Some minor league stagiums have nets that go down the line.

The woman will supposedly survive.

That's a relief. Her poor son having to hear his mother shriek like that, I can't even imagine. My family sits in safe seats at Camden, but at ST, it's another story. I'm sure that the husband/father feels terrible, especially if he was the one that purchased the tickets and encouraged them to sit there.

I just can't believe this. Does anyone think something should be done about maple bats?

I think something should be done about Fenway. It appears to be unsafe.
