Really nice quote from Buck on AJ beating out a double play ball last night. Buck's genuine love for AJ is so evident. AJ just brings so much, not only with his talent but also his hustle, leadership, and personality.

"I thought one of the key plays of the game was Adam Jones beating out the double play ball that kind of goes unnoticed," Showalter said. "That's Adam, though. Not sure many guys ... There's a lure to take a little spot off here or there and he doesn't. He's one of our best players, obviously, and it makes my job a lot easier when your best players play the game right."

In my opinion, AJ took a step forward last year in his defense that has carried through to this year. He has also improved his hitting another notch this year. Even with a slump in May (probably playing hurt) he has managed to cut down on strikeouts and raise his average. He is quickly moving up my mental list of all time favorite Orioles. He might even be at the top.
