If McKenna isn’t even getting into games as a defensive replacement then we should be looking outside the org to upgrade his spot. If it’s not Hicks, maybe it’s Daz Cameron or some vet in the milb like that.
The Hicks hate is something that people need to sort out in their minds, but it would be nice for us to not be playing short handed. People are upset about Kjerstad, at least you can see where the playing time could come from. You can’t see that with McKenna. He has not role and isn’t trusted.
You can really see how the emphasis on pitching post the top two picks in last year’s draft makes the 11-30 not as clear cut as it’s been recently.
With our team being so LH with everyday players, guys like Norby, Rhodes, and Fabian, will all have extra value to us because they fit in as cheap bench players to their LH counterparts.
I see he caught his first game of the year too. So what does everyone think about the slow start? Anyone with the milb package or that goes to games? Elbow injury? The cold weather? Being 19 in AA? Or just an ordinary slow start?
I think the wall and stadium does make a difference. The 5% on Cowser first catch was not that hard but it is probably in the stands in almost all other parks so it gets a low percentage. It would be interesting to go look at a few balls to right in Yankee stadium or left in Boston and see if some of the percentages of balls off walls or homers are on there higher then should be.
