Of course, since this has been the most frustrating season in recent memory, we'll probably go on a red hot tear to close the year that lands us just short of the wild card. That would fit this season's theme perfectly.

If that were to happen, it would be the 4th consecutive winning season for the Orioles.

I would be happy with/about that.

I felt bad about the Orioles missing the postseason in 2013, but I was also glad that they managed to carve out a respectable winning season (85-77) that year.

For me, every winning season that the Orioles complete is a further step away from the 14 consecutive losing seasons that they sustained from 1998-2011. And that is a distance that I would like to see continue to grow.
