I think this hurts us this year.  Having a lost pick attached to Trumbo gave us a little edge on re-signing him.  Plus we didn't offer MW a QO.  

It's a shame we have so much tied up in Ubaldo, Gallardo and Miley.

Yep definitely hurts the Os especially that cap on International spending.

I was hoping for the Int Draft. Would be nice if we were able to acquire some of the higher end international players.

I'm just glad I don't have to worry about a work stoppage.   Do we know if the new comp rules go into effect immediately?    If so, I do think a QO to Wieters might have made sense.

That's a good question. If it does then a few teams might have done things a little differently.

From the article I saw the pick or picks you get are tied to where the signing team is at with the Luxury tax.

We'd still lose our first round pick. This doesn't change until next off-season.
