A healthy MW > Caleb. It's not even close.

Don't forget MW is playing for a big contract. He's going to be hungry.

Agreed.

Joseph is a good value right now, but they're both on the roster now. Ignoring prices, MW is clearly the better player. To suggest otherwise os certainly a bridge too far.

Fine. I more or less accept your point. But yes, I would rather run with cheaper options in the COF since offense wasnt the biggest issue and would rather see money devoted towards a SP. Yes the team has 4 of them but they have 4 back of the rotation starters it seems.

Everything is an issue with our current roster...I'm fine with getting worked up if they don't manage to bring in another SP this offseason, but I think they're a pretty safe bet to do that. DD has made it pretty clear he has no intention of rolling with rolling with our current cast of SP. I'm much more worried about that addition being a bad contract than 1yr/$9M for Trumbo.

Do you agree it's Hultzen or was that just sheer speculation? I am thinking it will be or hopefully is a pitcher. The Mariners do produce good pitchers.

We get two players? Wonderful.

And...

1) Aside from the money, we gave up a guy who wasn't going to make the team

2) It's a one year commitment

3) Chicks dig the long ball

Ding ding....Morales got 2/17 coming off a horrible year....this will end up being a great trade for us. We will be debating at the end of the year if we should give him a qualifying offer

I speculated a left-handed pitcher. Jon Shepherd speculated Hultzen. There had been noise when he was DFA'd.

And he was playing for a big contract last year, how did that turn out? I really wish people would stop that saying since it isnt accurate.

Need to fill two of three remaining positional player spots with lefties IMO.

Davis, Aoki, and Pearce? I wouldn't be too unhappy with this lineup:

RF Aoki

3B Machado

CF Jones

1B Davis

DH Trumbo

C Wieters

LF Pearce

2B Schoop

SS Hardy

Lots of power!

Davis isn't bad in the RF. He's not Hanely. But I think Davis will end up with Cards if they were willing to drop $187m for Price.. they'll go after Davis big time.

I'm confused where you are going with this. You said in your last post that for the scenario the O's sign Davis, O'Day, and fillers. Now you're saying the O's don't have Davis
