The Mets really need another bat. As thing stand right now they've only got on sure bet at a bat over .800OPS and that is Duda's notoriously streaky bat.

That's amateur material, Sherman. "I think the Mets should have pursued Darren O'Day but because they didn't, I question their commitment."

I don't see anything that says they "let him slip". If anything, the Nationals let him slip.

Particularly a guy who remained with his prior club. Similar to Gordon with KC. Hard to say your club should have given an identical deal to sign him.

Goes to the Mets Mejia! He didn't really seem at all deterred by the first two punishments and was right back at it after each positive test.

With the failed test, Mejia joins Pete Rose as the only living players to be banned by MLB. Mejia is the first player to receive a lifetime ban for PED use.

So stupid. What's the point of taking performance enhancing drugs if you can't actually perform anywhere.
