2005- we traded John Maine for Kris Benson.

2006- we traded Chris Britton for Jaret Wright.

That should put things into perspective when we cry about DD.

John Maine had an eight years career totaling 4.3 WAR.

Chris Britton had a three year career totaling 1.3 WAR.

Denny Bautista had a seven year career totaling -1 WAR

Some of the doctors are different from when Sele was getting his physical Dr Silberstien is sort of semi retied but still practicing. i think he is like 83 or something. Rosenthal said they already looked at his med reports and they looked good. Maybe the MRI did not come back clean. But that could be from a false positive or something. Maybe they had to send the report to the Ortho at Hopkins. Could be nothing.

Nope. The docs were not willing to sign off on a long term deal and Sele's arm fell off in what would have been year three.

Not for four years. They were not. 7 WAR at 2.5 million per WAR was 17 Million, not the 29 Million that he had signed for.

There was concern when an MRI was done. Nothing looks like it will jeopardize the deal, but as you all know the Orioles do their due diligence with everyone.
