Mike Wright starting tomorrow per Roch

Mike Wright seems very confident, but his postgame comments rub me the wrong way. Calling out his defense, saying he pitched "perfect" even if really wasn't as well as his demeanor on the mound when things go wrong.

Compare that to Tyler Wilson. They couldn't be any more different. Wilson seems like a consummate professional. Great postgame and pregame pressers. Understands who he is.

We don't really know either guy. Because one presents himself better in post game interviews isn't proof that one is a bad guy and one is a good guy. For all we know, the reverse could be true. All I'm saying is please let's not rush to judgment on Wright. Give the kid a chance

Pitch better. Don't say you pitched perfect. Don't call out your defense. This isn't rocket science.

You've lost me once again. Are you saying that if there is information that says that Wright is arrogant and uncoachable that you don't believe it should be posted on here?

I'm saying that speculating on it is poor form. And opinions are just that. By the way I was agreeing with you again.

Palmer calling someone arrogant and hard to manage is amusing. I love Jim Palmer, but I'm old enough to know that that is the kettle calling the pot black:)

Yeah, that doesn't preclude his feedback. If anything, it gives more credit. And Mike Wright ain't Jim Palmer. He needs help. He's not a good pitcher.

I don't think it's unfair to say that he doesn't come off well, sometimes, when you see his comments after the game. It was very odd to remark on a play that Davis didn't make. That's just not done. Of course, like Wilson, you'd rather hear a pitcher say something like "I know I have to be better" after a bad game. Wright's baseball PC clock seems to be a little off.

No. I do not think that is unfair at all.

We don't really know any of them, but I can make an assessment on how he pitches and whether he accepts responsibility for his poor results. He's done neither well.

Fair enough, but he's young and he's got great stuff. He has solid teammates to guide him. I think the kid has a chance, let's not label him just yet.

Damn fine outing by Wright. But once again, the offense is nowhere to be found.

Expect the unexpected. I think we are all shocked. We needed a good performance, hopefully irbil spread to the rest of the staff.
