I think it was a decent send with the way our offense has played. He probably would have been stranded at 3rd otherwise so just take a chance.

If the O's offense wasn't slumping so badly, Dickerson would have held Jones at third. If the throw was even off a little, Jones is safe.

I think he even saw the ball go over Valencia's head but still took an unnecessary extra step back to re-tag 2nd.

Jones is also to blame. But Dickerson should have read that and just left him at 2nd. But no. Terrible. Idiotic.

If I had the inclination, I'm sure I could find plenty of people complaining in game threads about Dickerson being too conservative and not sending runners. Hindsight is 20/20.
