Aren't we sending Faulkner to AFL? And Ramierez just threw 7 inning of 3 hit ball w/ 9 k's. He is possibly our most promising pitcher in Bowie.

They're at 40 now. Will have to make a move for Hays and then another for Hardy.

Joey Rickard has fewer home runs (14) in 1,567 minor league plate appearances than Austin Hays has (16) in 283 plate appearances in Bowie this year.

For a comparison of what a player who puts up Hays type numbers in AA can do in the majors.  Michael Conforto was a similar age (slightly older) and posted a similar batting line in AA (less power, but more walks).  He was called up midseason and hit .270/.335/.506 in the majors, good for 2.1 WAR in 56 games.  Hays is better defensively than Conforto.  Rickard has been worth a whopping -0.2 WAR in 183 games as an Orioles.  

Hays is probably the best everyday starting RF we have, if you're not ready to take that step, at least platoon him and let him face LH pitchers.  He's hitting  .432./488./730 against lefties in AA!  He might be the best lefty masher we have, period.

The 40 man roster is an issue, but if you make the sacrifice of not trading veteran assets in order to compete for a playoff spot, losing some flexibility and a little service time shouldn't be an issue.

Is he a pitcher?  lol.    I would put blinders on him on the bench whenever Davis, Trumbo (maybe Jones too)  are at the plate.
