2018 Dylan Bundy

Still, good to see two very good starts from Bundy out of the chute.   It certainly looks like he’s our best starter.    Remember, he had a very strong first two months last year (10 QS in his first 11 starts, and even in the other outing, he pitched 6 innings), then seemed to tire.   Hopefully he stays strong this year.

Bundy sat 92 today and maxed out at 94.5.    His slider was good but not as devastating as last time.   He threw 24, 15 for strikes, drawing 9 swings and 4 whiffs on the pitch.   He actually drew 10 whiffs on 4-seamers today.

His yakker was like none other we have seen in Birdland for quite a while.  He fooled hitters so much, they could not offer at the perfect trajectory.  With that at his control, hitters were helpless.

Looks like 15 strikeouts in 13 innings. I guess he just got lucky the last two games.

Just finished the 7th against Jays. What a great recovery from a shaky second. Ten ks, slider is basically unhittable. I assume he’s done for the night.
