Trade Gausman (or extend him) by July 31

The O's need to cash in on Gausman. Either trade him or extend him by the trade deadline. If he keeps pitching well, he could get us a big haul. Of course, no one knows who is calling the shots for the organization.

I'd field offers for Gausmen for sure. 

If they don't want to do that then they should resign Bundy and Gausmen and have them lead the next crop of pitchers. 

But...they'll probably do nothing

We have KG for a couple of more seasons of control (2019, 2020). 

I don't think we'll see him traded or extended before the trade deadline simply because the team hasn't picked a direction.  Are we going to aim for a reload (again... sigh), or are we finally going to do a proper rebuild?

We've been really bad at having foresight and a long term plan in recent times even when we haven't had so many lame ducks in play... we have to be even less competent at this moment in time.  So it really seems to me like the KG decision is something that's going to be pushed to next off season or next season's deadline.  Hopefully by then, we have a new GM, field manager, and plan of attack.

I'd do all that this offseason. His value will be relatively the same and we won't get a stupid overpay, but it would allow for the process to happen for a potential extension more organically.
