In terms of character Cal can't hold a candle to Brooks. Brooks is 100% genuine and the absolute best.

Even before that statement, Brooks was a far better person than Cal, IMHO.

Totally uncalled for and unnecessary.  And Cal couldn’t hold a candle to Brooks as a color analyst.

Always great to see Brooks! If the team reaches out -- for history or out of desperation, it is still a good thing to have the legend around as close by to OPACY as possible.

This is terrible.

Terrible that it wasn't done years ago. Why would the Orioles ever want Brooks to get further than an arm's length away? They should grab him, hold on tight and never let him out of their sight.

They should give him the Warehouse to live in. He, and Connie, and all of his "friends" of which I am definitely one. He told me.

I don't think the Warehouse is big enough for all his friends.

Anyone ever read the biography written about him written by Doug Wilson?  Its the only one I could find on him online and I was thinking about buying it as it sounds like Brooks lived an interesting life worth reading about.  Is it any good?

What a wonderful and warm human being. I wish I would have been alive to witness the Brooks era and all those great Orioles teams. Thank god for YouTube.
