Ode to the Orioles - A Collaborative Poem

Since it's a bit of a slow time I thought I'd try something different. A running thread / poem about the Orioles. Each person can reply with a new verse, that builds on the prior verses. I'll get things started. Mods, feel free to kill this thread if it doesn't take off.

This appears, to me, to be closer to the forum games than it is a topic for Orioles Talk.

We could go back and forth on this, but what I really don't understand is why you felt the need to reply in the first place (unless you're a mod). I get that this might not be for everyone, but if you didn't want to participate why reply at all? Just let it run it's course and let the mods do their thing. Now we're three negative posts deep in what was intended to be a light and fun exercise.

I wanted to rhyme forum and decorum. 

Honestly I wish your reply to mine had been in rhyme, it would be making this exchange a lot more fun.

Or perhaps he was just trying to remind everyone of their role.

I was simply trying to revert back to the rhyme scheme I found so amusing.

To provide the forum with a tad bit of joy while our team is just losing.

You had the right to discontinue the exercise, when typing this post of your choosing.
