Sucre being DFAed does that mean he is being sent to the minors or released? I get confused about that.

He is off the 40 man roster immediately.

The Orioles have a 10 day period to try to trade him (but since teams know they are cutting him, they probably won't offer much.   But we did get a minor leaguer for Mike Wright so you never know).

After that 10 day period, he goes through waivers, and another team can claim him if they are willing to put him on their 40 man roster AND their 25 man roster, since he is out of options.

If no one claims him, THEN he could accept a minor league contract and assignment to Norfolk (if we offer... given the talk from Bordick about "grumblings in the clubhouse" about the way he sometimes reacted negatively to pitchers making bad pitches and maybe was "showing them up", it's possible that we just want him gone).

This is an interesting point. That whole situation with Bundy really brought that to his head. As fans we get disgusted with Bundy giving up homers, but as his catcher, he should never have showed that kind of negative emotion at one of his pitchers. I would not be surprised if he's released and not offered a job with the Orioles especially with the Orioles wanting to have Sisco start most of the time in AAA.

A straight FB at 97 MPH sounds just like Mike Wright.

Not really.    He had one good outing where he was dialing up that kind of velocity, and the rest of the time he’s been more in the 93-94 range, with no idea where it’s going.
