Watching some of the KBO.  It's nice to watch some sports but...I don't think I'll be watching much more.  i don't know who any of these guys are.  And I'm pretty much out of stuff to watch on Netflix.

Amazon Prime has some nice documentaries.

Name some names, foolio.

I really enjoyed Renaissance Unchained.

They have the Classic Album series that used to air on VH-1, some of which are pretty interesting.

Time Team is pretty fun, they seem to have a nice time.

I'm currently watching Technical Marvels of the Ancient World.

Next on my watch list is: Saints & Sinners: The History of the Popes, seems like a good time.

I am thinking sports will resume. Without crowds... because they can broadcast it on TV and the fans can see it and to make $$$.

I think you will see bands livestream like this one. Clutch this past Tuesday. They've been doing this about weekly for a month now. There's probably more out there, I'm just a HUGE Clutch fan and it came up on my suggestions.

Also... during the Depression, when people had no money even, the Movie industry thrived. People couldn't afford... anything... but they still scraped together the 5 or 10 cents to see a movie, to see a game. To be entertained, get their minds off the ish that was/is going on. It's ingrained in our psyche. These days we have TV and youboob and people will use it. Leagues and artists and fans of both.

While my Grandfather was away in the war my Grandmother would take the family to the movies during the day in the winter since the movies were cheaper than heating the house.

Not to get too far off subject, but Sony's Betamax failed because they would not license anyone else to produce the player or tapes while JVC did allow for other companies to acquire a license to produce VHS. This flooded the market, which drove down the price. When you could get a VHS for $100 and a Betamax may cost 3x t0 4x that, that hurt sales even with the slightly better quality.

Also, the lower cost of producing VHS tapes did allow for the porn industry to pick it as the preferred method which was basically the death nail to Betamax.

The headline of Tonys snippet there would be:

VHS Porn Nails Betamax to death!!!

You guys are getting me hungry with the food talk.

I'm even ordering my groceries online and having them loaded into my truck.  I just don't want to end up in the hospital (or worse) with Covid-19  because I went to the grocery store, I'll pay extra to avoid taking the chance.

As for going to a game or a concert, no way I'd go. I'll wait until there's a vaccine before I'll set foot in Camden Yards again.  I don't see how they could reopen and leave themselves open to lawsuits if people get sick after attending the game.

There's a lot of reports coming out each day to discuss. Today, for instance, it was reported that Taiwan is preparing to have live attendance at games (250 fans per game). Taiwan has been ahead of everyone, so I'm sure MLB and other leagues will be looking at the success of their actions as a blueprint for what could be possible here.

https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2020/05/taiwans-cpbl-preparing-for-live-attendance.html

Also, Scott Boras began advocating for a return of players to training camps as soon as possible. It sounds crazy at first, but makes some sense - starting now would allow teams to have players and staff return in staggered stages, instead of just having everyone come back at once.

https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2020/05/boras-calls-for-resumption-of-spring-training.html

There was also a rumor today that Opening Day would start on July 1 - but quickly confirmed to be false. While I doubt there is an official plan from MLB at this point, all of the reports recently have pointed to that timeframe as the leading consideration.

Here is the NY Times Scott Boras opinion piece for those with access.  IMO it is an eloquent and persuasive essay and very much worth reading.

Like decades later with movie theater AC in the summer.
