2 outings ago, 100% of the outs that Cobb recorded (15 out of 15) came via the Groundout and the Strikeout.

In Cobb's last outing, 75% of the outs that he recorded tonight (12 out of 16) came via the Groundout and the Strikeout.

In tonight's outing, 65% of the outs that he recorded tonight (13 out of 20) came via the Groundout and the Strikeout.

In Cobb's last 3 outings combined, 78% of the outs that he recorded (40 out of 51) came via the Groundout and the Strikeout.

In the fateful 3rd inning, Cobb was plagued by 3 infield singles, 1 of which probably should have been recorded for an out.

I think Cobb pitched much better than his line yesterday. 3 infield hits in one inning and a couple more later. Was very dominant outside the gopher ball.

I only saw the 5th-6th-7th. I was surprised they let him in that deep after giving up 4, but I realized he was only at 70+ pitches in the 6th (finished with 88). Really good command of all pitches. Had eight straight outs until the walk and single with 2 out in the 7th.

in the 4 run inning there were 3 infield hits. The jack was the only ball hit hard off him the entire start.

Looking at the upcoming schedule for the final showcase, I find myself pulling for an early-ish hook tonight so he can go again Thursday at Tampa instead of Friday at Buffalo for the last pre-8/31 turn.

We may need that 2-starts more body of evidence; Tampa a more credible test for the better teams, and we know all things AAA anathema, plus the early Buffalo park effect perhaps not to be trifled with.
