I could just extrapolate based on the current Oriole pitchers he just faced this week, but that might look worse!  Either way, I am sick of getting beaten by this guy.  I think we all can agree on that.

I think it has a lot more to do with the caliber of the pitching the O's have had and less to do with the color of the uniform.

It's understandable to do that with a player as gifted as Springer.  It's not for players who aren't top 100 prospects.

He's not good against Houston so apparently it's not orange that he likes so much. In an odd twist, they've had much better pitchers than the O's lately.

Sure. But if you think a player will be a part of your next competitive team (any part, not just a star) why not do that while you are still in full tank mode? Not saying I agree with it, but it is crystal clear that we aren’t in ‘win-now’ mode so that’s what it is. I can respect sticking with a timeline that I you laid out. Like it or not it’s clear there is a plan and a timeline in place. 
 

But for the record I hate service time manipulation and hope the issue is fixed in the new cba.

Hard to argue with the weakness of our pitching.  Although we seem to have an easier time with Mike Trout than we do Grichuk.  I think the stats over the last several years even bear that out.  For whatever reason, Grichuk continues to pound us at an unpleasant and frustratingly consistent rate.

Outside of the slight influence of half of said stats being generated at the same stadium, it's a bunch of nothing that means nothing... one the most worthless stats discussed in baseball.

Almost as bad as postseason broadcasts quoting how the (making up an example) Blue Jays have won 15 of their last 20 postseason games.  Most of those games were 27 years ago when tonight's starting pitcher wasn't born yet.

Grichuk so far today 0 for 3 vs Philly (some scrub starter and the worst pen in baseball), and left the bases loaded his last at bat.

If the Phillies were wearing orange and black he'd probably have a double adn a grand slam.

Any game against the Yankees and the Red Sox are games that we don't have to lose ...... I don't care if it's a prime Pedro Martinez going up against Rocky Cherry ...... we don't have to lose any of them.
