It’s infuriating.   At least Gausman can’t be blamed on the current regime.

That's like being upset when Rich Hill got good.

It was back in 2018 and he's played for four teams since.

It isn't as if he was bad with the O's.

I need Stotle to stop by and explain what is happening.

There's a basic cognitive conflict between my pre-set that Gausman is a turkey, and the dazzling results of the last year and month.   Despite the mounting evidence, I still can't bring myself to feel it is going to be a problem to beat him when we get good.

And agree with many there's no Orioles alone fault here.   Just like Astros traded Hader, Gausman failed Atlanta and their World Series banner, Cincinnati and their Driveline guys, etc.

Yeah, I know there were some other teams that couldn’t unlock him.  But someone did, and now we’re probably going to face him several times a year (3-4 times this year, 2-3 times per year after that on average).

The fact that he's a former O's just doesn't matter to me at all.  Even if he had unlocked this as an Oriole he'd be gone as a free agent by now anyway.

As for facing him, I've got mixed feelings.  He's having a historic seasons so far, so those are fun to watch.  But I'd rather the O's win than lose.
