Zimmermann gave up 7 Runs on 9 Hits in only 4.33 Innings Pitched in his final Pre-Season start of 2021.

The one thing on his stat-line that did look good was the fact that he was credited with 3 Strikeouts and 0 Walks.

I said the same thing about Means 2 days ago. In addition to having just gotten the COVID vaccine which he said made him feel a little under the weather, I hope that he (Means) was just out there throwing the ball to his comfort, exercising his arm and continuing to build up stamina as the regular season approaches. Guys who are penciled in as being in the top-3 or the top-4 in the starting rotation can afford to do that, moreso than a guy who is the 25th or 26th man on the team who is fighting to keep a spot on the Major League roster.
