Just saw a pitch to Cruz that was definitely in the zone but was called ball 3. The TV guy appeared to blame the call on Sisco because he didn’t set up for it? He said something unclear

If the pitcher missed the glove by two feet, even if it IS a strike, probably not gonna get the call.

There was someone for the St Louis Browns who I think won 30 in a 100 loss season.  It's sort of like that.  Or Steve Carlton winning 27 in a season where his only won 57  

 

Edit: It was Ned Garver and only 20 wins, not 30.
