White Sox have the 2nd best record in the American League, behind only Tampa.

The Orioles will start 3 lefthanded pitchers in the 4 game series, and the White Sox hit lefties quite well:

vs RH:  .247/.337/.385/.722
vs LH:  .282/.359/.475/.834

The White Sox are managed by Tony LaRussa.   He managed the White Sox when the Orioles defeated Chicago in the 1983 ALCS 38 years ago.   No player on either team tonight was alive when that series was played.

The White Sox starting LF tonight, Andrew Vaughn, was the first player from the 2019 MLB Draft to make the majors.   The second player from that draft to make the majors is starting pitcher Alek Manoah, who is at this moment on the mound for the Blue Jays in his major league debut.   I wonder if Adley Rutschman will be the next?

Lineup notes:

Mountcastle not playing, McKenna in LF so maybe Mountcastle's hand is still in bad shape.

Sisco starts for the second game in a row, good to see that.

Santander DHs for the second straight game, wonder if he is bothered by something leg related and they don't want him in the field?

We maxed out with 6 lefties in the lineup vs Cease, who gives up a career .730 OPS to RH batters and .825 to LH batters.

I was just looking at the radar an hour ago and noticed some nasty storms in Oklahoma

I looked when I posted that and kind of clears out around Chicago about game time. Might get some in anyways...
