After John Means' no hitter the Orioles were 15-16. If they can hold on here, this will only be their 15th win since. If they can complete the shut out it will be their first since the Means' no hitter.

What was amazing about this play is that the three Mets (P, C, 3B) who could have retrieved the ball and stopped the 2nd and 3rd runs from scoring stood around and argued with the ump instead. How could they possibly do that while they saw four Pirates wheeling around the bases?! Real vintage Mets behavior, what a joke--one team playing while the other threw a hissy fit. The difference with 1962, 2015 WS, etc. is that they pulled the game out anyway with a 9th-inning homer by Nimmo (but did lose the series 2-1 to the last-place Pirates). Now with the most expensive infielder in history and the best ML pitcher on the IL, it will be interesting to see how much of a lead in the NL East they can maintain the next few weeks....
