Well, we left the bases loaded twice, Hyde made a critical mistake when he had awfty ready a s didn't bring him in, Santander overran a ball that he could have at least kept in the park... and we lost to a very good team by just one run.

Can't make that many mistakes when you are playing a tough opponent on the road.

You can bet Adley will be asking for help with what’s happening with those ABs. It must be killing him to keep leaving men on base. Is this the “development at the big league level” that CoC espouses?  It’s painful but necessary I guess.

Don't forget Hays who had 2 pitches to crush in the same at bat and pulled them both foul.

Have to give plenty of credit to Yu Chang for this game.

Two for four with two RBI (including the game-tying RBI) and one run (the go-ahead run) scored.

And let's not forget his diving stop on Hays' grounder with two on and two out in the fifth.  If that ball goes into left field, Mullins scores on the play instead of having to stop at third.  And wouldn't it have been nice if the Orioles had scored that run?

You can't fully learn how to play in the majors by playing in the minors.

And yet, we made it close nonetheless. Positives: Wells turns in yet another good performance--and goes 5.67 innings in the process. Urias giving warning of becoming an infield stalwart with his bat as much as with his glove. Mateo further stakes his claim on SS. Baker and Bautista continue their dominance.
