When this season started I was happy with .500

5 years in a row we could not play .500 ball. 

I did not see this coming to be honest.

I actually thought I was being pretty bold when I said I thought we had a good chance not to be the worst team in the Balt/Wash metropolitan area.  

We are 22 games ahead of them right now.

We had a poll about projected wins before the season and I voted 66-70, but I was thinking it would be the lower end of that and, even then, I was worried I was looking through Orange-colored glasses.  

Conversely, I’ve seen too many seasons turn on a dime without warning to assume this team will finish .500ish or better.   The 2002 team was 63-63 and finished 4-32.   The 2005 team was 60-60 and finished 14-28.   So I’m a long way from saying this team greatly exceeded expectations.  Every win has to be earned and when 162 games have been played I’ll judge how much expectations were exceeded, if at all.

It appears there was massive underestimation of the Odor Clubhouse factor.
