Yeah, I think I'd like to see it for myself. I played a gig in Houston, but they were still in the Astrodome then. It looks rather fun even though it seems like a whole lot going on in that section.

It’sa great place to see a ball game, but the new stadium in Arlington and the surrounding area (Texas Live!) is impressive.

Have not heard of them.

But I did think just now of Buccee's Brisket.  We loved going to Buccee's because it was just so crazy to see the excess. And they have amazing fudge being made in the middle of the store.

Love Buc-ees! Good selection of jerky too! And the cleanest rest rooms around. I call it the Costco of truck stops, but actually trucks aren’t allowed.

Maybe they really push the idea of Santander over there with the dearth of guys they have for the OF.

They were working with him over there. I suspect it wasn’t very pretty since we haven’t seen it come to fruition.   Mountcastle’s defense has been good as of late though.

I personally am  not a fan of Mountcastle's defense.

Oooooh Shake Shack! Yum.

Had never been before until this past Monday.   Stopped at a rest stop on the NJTP for lunch/bathroom break in the middle of a 400 mile drive, they had just refurbished the rest stop, which used to have a Burger King I think, and it had a Shake Shack instead.   So I got one of the burgers, the one with the spicy little red peppers on it.   Delicious.

Didn't get a shake, I need the caffeine so I got an unsweetened iced tea which I pretty much drink a gallon a day of.   So I'll have to try the shakes at a future date.   But thumbs up on the burger.

We moved my 94 year old mother from the nursing home in upstate NY to an assisted living place here in Maryland.   So the 790 mile round trip that I have literally made 100+ times since my Dad passed away in 2004, I will never have to do that drive again!   Monday was the last time.   It was a weird feeling, I have all this useless knowledge in my head now about what fast food and gas station is at every rest stop, where traffic bunches up, what radio stations in NYC and upstate NY are worth listening to, various hotels and places to eat up there, that I'll pretty much never use again.

    • Yes that is what happened last year to Adley.  I hope it is not a repeat even though this is someone from the Royals not Rangers where they stuff the ballot boxes and beat him out. Or the Yankees fans who think we are so evil vote for anyone going head to head against us.
    • And 2 steals. Good enough to put him at .726 OPS and 39 SB through June. Cowser only put up a .795 OPS there.
    • Both are more of regular season arms. They’re not going to be back end arms in the pen. Suarez wasn’t used like that in his brief stint. He pitches to contact vs hunting for Ks. Both are suited to be regular season SP or bottom half of your pen relievers.
    • I hope Adley beats out Perez. I believe this is where he lost to Heim last year. Mounty and Westburg will likely lose heads up.
    • We have an off day to give Mounty an extra days rest. We have an off day next Monday as well with the ASB looming. Mounty is close to making the ASG so I doubt he wants to hit the IL.  Meaning a RP would have to go for Mayo. I think we’re trying to keep Urias this season and move on from him in the offseason. Mayo is on target to be added as our extra player in September unless we have an injury.  It sure would be nice to bring Mayo up and let him get a ton of ABs to be ready for the playoffs.  At the end of the day, what’s worth more?  Urias as an insurance policy that shouldn’t get ABs in the playoffs, or developing Mayo that should get playoff ABs?
    • When Kremer comes back and if we get a #3 starter, would that help bolster the pen? You can move Suarez and Irvin/Povich into the pen.
    • Those three starts were going against @NYY, @Hou, and Texas. He’s slated to go @Oak with an extra day of rest.  We have to differentiate between regular season SP and playoff SP. Just like how we have to do with regular season RP and playoff RP.  Irvin, Povich, Kremer, and Suarez, are fine options to get you through 162.  Burnes, and Grayson, are our playoff options right now. We need a game 2/3 SP. The playoff RP core looks to be Kimbrel, Cano, Webb, Coloumbe(if healthy), and Perez. It would be nice to add two arms to the playoff RPs.
