Vavra foot speed in RF made a play I'm sure Santander isn't close to to limit Judge to a 2-out, none on PA.

Ok that Judge K is the first time I’ve been impressed by Irvin.  Hopefully we see more of that.

I'll take either one over Santander in RF. Santander needs to be the primary DH on this team and perhaps groomed to backup at 1B for Mountcastle.

Even Brown and Palmer were impressed on that K of Judge. If Irvin does more of that I've misjudged him.

Regarding offensive upside - In addition to having more power, Stowers has shown an ability to hit LHP and RHP over his minor league career, while Vavra has extreme splits.    

But Vavra has shown more extra base-hit ability than you’d expect from someone his size.  I think Vavra can be a very valuable piece, but not as an everyday player.  Rather, he is the strong side of a platoon (deployed like John Lowenstein - only bat against RHP).    
 

I will post Vavra’s MiLB career splits when I get to my laptop.
