It was possible to do all Orioles, although I failed.   One Oriole was a first round pick who won an MVP -- Reggie Jackson.   And there was one Oriole who was a first round pick who won a Cy Young -- Rick Sutcliffe.

I'm assuming those are the two spots you couldn't fill with Orioles because they were the only two I failed on.

I didn't know either was a first round pick.   I didn't follow the draft back when either was drafted.

I thought Reggie was a first rounder but wasn’t 100% sure so I didn’t use him.  I wasn’t thinking about his year with the O’s when I wrote the above.  I didn’t know Sutcliffe was a first round pick.

I should have done better.  Chose Palmer as one team for 10% and then remembered I could have chosen someone like Nick Vespi.

I’d still say you did well.  9/9, 41 for me.  I used Bruce Zimmermann for that question and got 0.1%.   All my O’s answers were 1% or less.  But I could only come up with the most obvious answer for Tigers/Mets and that cost me 19 points.

Every team has a Joey Ortiz.

A lot of people haven’t figured out this strategy, and they’re still looking for the Jim Palmers and Brooks Robinsons.  My three today were Tarik Skubal, Bruce Zimmermann and Joe Adell.  The most popular answers were Al Kaline, Cal Ripken and Mike Trout.

I think a lot of folks are finding just filling all the blocks a challenge.  If you are just happy to get a 9-9 it makes sense to use Trout.

I find filling all 9 blocks a challenge most days, and I’m happy any time I do.  I’ve only gotten 9/9 19% of the time.  But some are much easier than others for me, mostly depending on how many squares are combos of two teams, which I’m not very good at.

Was thinking of Ryan Braun, Ted Simmons, and Robin Yount for Brewers with 300 homers.  Made the wrong choice for 8/9.

Me too.  I know Yount wasn’t a huge homer guy, but I figured that over a 20-year career he’d have 300.

When I see that category, I tend to go with someone I know has 400+ HRs and spent some time there but is known for playing for other teams. Sheffield for today. Griffey Jr the other day for CWS.
