I am glad the Angelos family finally made up with Adam Jones for refusing to be traded in 2018.  Maybe John will see the writing on the wall and make up with Kevin Brown.  

Maybe no one told him no much as a child?  Maybe he can learn a lesson.  I does seem he learned a lesson from his dad on how not to interfere with the GM.   God I hope he figures this out soon.

On vacation so I haven’t followed this closely, but it’s amazing to me that I’m halfway around the world, the O’s are killing it on the field, and what people are talking about is the incalculable pettiness on the Orioles ownership. Well deserved if you ask me. Way to go John…..you’re every bit the #%*+^ your dad is.

For the longest time, I thought Dan Snyder was going to be the Skins owner for most of the rest of my life.  And I was just determined to outlast him.  Just flat out, outlast him.  To your point about being an Orioles fan before this current ownership and being a fan after them...I felt the same way about the Skins.  I feel the same way about the Orioles.

It took a monumental effort to get Snyder out of DC but it happened.  Of course a lot of it was due to legal pressure, but it still happened.  

I don't know what it'll take for the Angelos family to sell the team.  I believe they understand they're not liked...and if they didn't know before yesterday, they certainly know now.  

But just like Snyder, I suspect that not being liked isn't enough for the Angelos family to let go of the team.  I don't know if there's anything legal in JA's closet that could make him to be forced to sell the team if it came to light, but I hope so.  I think, right now, that's the only way.

Until then, I'm just here to outlast him.

Being a Ravens' fan, at least I feel like there's ONE functional sports franchise owner in town!    Can't imagine being a Skins AND Orioles fan all those years! 

I know that Snyder felt pressure from other owners to finally rid himself of the team.   I wonder if the same application could apply for the Orioles.   Maybe this story leaking out could be the impetus for it?

Given how much roasting JA is (rightly) getting from fans and the media about this incident, I'm starting to worry that he'll try to move the team to Nashville just out of spite or to get a fresh start.  Someone please remind me, could MLB block him from moving the team?

Three quarters order the clubs would have to approve, although this could conceivably be challenged in the courts a la the Oakland Raiders move to LA, but the anti-trust exemption the Supreme Court created is very helpful.  MLB hates the Angeloses though, and they’re not going to support giving up on $600MM in public money.

It's been brutal but there's finally a light at the end of the tunnel.

Snyder felt pressure but, IIRC, what started it all was allegations of sexual harassment, cheerleaders being taped without their permission if you get my drift and a dvd of the footage being passed around by Snyder and his cronies.   Bullying, intimidation.  Then underreporting ticket sales in order to pay less into an NFL fund.  Withholding ticket deposits from fans...I mean, there's more and quite frankly it's so hard to recall it all.  

Peter Angelos, John Angelos and Dan Snyder are monumental assholes.  Dan Snyder, habitually, crossed lines that were legal.  I don't know if Peter and John would do that or have done that.  And that's why the NFL owners were putting the pressure on Snyder, they knew he was bad for business from a legal and PR perspective....a league that's historically been awful towards women couldn't stomach an owner who was awful to women.  Plus with the notion that he'd withheld earnings from the rest of the league...yeah.  They wanted him gone.

John Angelos bullying Kevin Brown?  Like I said, tiddlywinks.  Other MLB owners can't begin to pressure him to sell the Orioles because of that.  Now...if sexual harassment allegations came to light or tapes of him using offensive/racist language...yeah, he's gone.

I also don't think this is that huge of a deal.  I'm a Redskins/WFT/Commies fan.  We just got rid of Dan Snyder...and there's nothing that JA has done that compares to what Dan Snyder did over the years.  When JA starts suing his own season-ticket holders, call me.  This is tiddlywinks in comparison.

That said, I agree....we can love the team, hate the owner.  

Yes there's nothing even rivaling the amount of dirt and baggage that the NFL had against Snyder and the Commanders.

But similar to what Commanders fans are going through right now, we would all be dancing in the proverbial streets if Angelos were to sell. It would be a big deal to us and give us hope that our owners won't eventually screw things up.

Also the city has not proven they wont support the team.  If the Orioles ever moved MLB would likely look to put an expansion club into Baltimore.  There really are not a lot of high density populations not being served by MLB.  Portland, New Orleans come to mind but I cant see MLB moving to New Orleans.
