Coaching staff changes

Seems like nobody was promoted to Brad Ciolek’s job, though it’s hard to say.   I believe his title was director of draft operations.

Matt Blood has added scouting and draft operations to his title.  This reads like a corporate release elevating high performers and bumping everyone up one level which equals higher compensation.  All of this helps ensure that for at least the 1-2 years this group stays together.

Ken Rosenthal has a section in The Athletic this morning about Holt and the Orioles coaching changes. He spoke with Gibson who seems to have confidence in Elias & Co.:

Man I hate to see him leave the organization. He was an important part of the last 2 years of success IMHO.

Based on what?  Who knows what the players or other coaches thought?
