Kremer sucks. He’s a 5th starter and shouldn’t be anyone counted on in the playoffs. He’s the Keegan Akin of the starting rotation.

He is hurt. The velo is down.  He pitched the most innings he ever pitched last year.  It was bound to catch up to him.

Nobody even pretends to cheer for Mullins anymore

Very happy to have him in the lineup over Cowser. 0-3 with 2 of his patented pop ups and a looking strikeout on a FB right down the middle.

But yeah let’s rip on the rookie if he struggles the next 2 days against two of the best LHP’s in the league, while the veteran Mullins needs to be sheltered against them.

They have not hit a ball in the air harder than 94 MPH (that wasn’t a pop up) since Westburg’s HR. That’s 19 straight AB’s. Doesn’t matter what kind of pitching you have when the offense is this bad (and inconsistent). They’ve scored 3 runs or less in 6 of their last 10 games. That ain’t good enough.

Been a frustrating couple of weeks with these blow out losses. What happened to our calling card of never giving up and fighting back? Can’t remember the last time we had a decent sized come back.

Hard to be too mad when have gained ground on the Yankees we’ve been .500 or so now for almost a month.

Just an all around brutal performance. The offense quite literally had 2 good swings (Gunnar’s LD and Westburg’s HR), the defense was horrific, and Kremer showed us all why they need to trade for a legit number 3 starter. Not liking the amount of blow outs they’ve had recently.

Maybe it’s better to be blown out more often.

Makes it harder to ignore the pitching needs with these blowout losses. Kremer is not someone you want starting game three of a playoff series and the bullpen needs a couple high leverage relievers.

Just embarrassing. Have the Orioles pitchers had such an easy game this year? The O’s had one XBH, one walk, and CHC pitchers threw less than 14 pitches per inning. I know they’re not going to mash every game but they’ve had way too many bad offensive games lately.

Yet they still have won 6 of those 10 games with awful pitching as you say.

I don’t think their pitching is awful. They’ve certainly had some very good and very bad pitching games recently (as well as offensively) which should even out with time. I do think they need some reinforcements though to replace some of their fringe pitchers (Povich/Baker/Tate).
