Gunnar's first instinct is to always run it to second and see if he can throw it.  He never thinks about how to shuttle the ball perfectly to second base.  

I am hoping he learns how to play the position better and it isnt a situation of him being baseball stupid.

Yeah, that 7th run is going to be the one that costs us this game. Cowser would have kept it at 6 maybe and struck out 4x. Either would be fine with me.

Cal giving Gunnar some pointers on playing defense as SS would be useful. Could be happening already for all we know.

I don’t usually blame coaches but I have to ask myself what this pitching coach French does. He gives off “I have no idea how I got this role” vibes.

This team is a complete mess all of a sudden. Cole Irvin can be DFA'd for all I care. Guy sucks.

Why is Irwin screaming at himself in the glove?  Its not like he is talented and he is going to cash out for big money at the end of the season.  He is going to be lucky to get a fifth starter role next year.  Likely he ends up on some teams bullpen and is out of baseball in  two years or less.
