I think the plan was some combination of Mayo, Kjerstad, and Basallo. However, the way our rookies are faring, it looks like there might need to be a plan B. In addition to the 40 HR, Santander really helps for lineup construction. Adley will be our only SH. Eventually one of these LHB's will need to be able to hit LHP's, but Elias seems to have zero faith anyone not named Gunnar will do so. -
I was born in 1981 and didn't see it (or remember anything from that age really). I can at least say they've won in my lifetime though... -

I also don't think he is the type of player that ages well. Curious about this opinion since he is having his career year at age 29 and his trend is up, OPS+ 94, 120, 121, 132 his past 4 seasons I have said it in many posts, I think he has some Joey Bautista potential. But he would need to be valued as a 1B/DH and not an outfielder. -
Right. I also get that things look bleak offensively right now but to act like because we've averaged 2 runs per game the past 12 games means that we will continue to do so the remaining 10 games isn't really logical. -

I'm surprised that with the pitching injuries and issues that the Orioles had, we didn't see more guys from Bowie get moved up to Norfolk to atleast check them out. Heid and Roth (who did deal with an injury in July that impacted him for a few weeks) could have gone to Norfolk for the last month. Loon, if he wasn't injured, could be in place to be there next season.
