Teams that aren't hitting look lie they aren't trying, that's the nature of baseball. But why wouldn't they be trying to hit? Their future contracts depend on it. No dumber opinion exists in sports than a team that is struggling means they aren’t trying…that they don’t care.
Moshagge3
Last night the O's got a lead and Kremer and the defense melted down. Today they get a lead and they're back at bat in six pitches. Thanks to Eflin and Holliday.

That implies that circumstances caused it, and that he was scheduled/planned to play the whole game. Do you know that for sure? Just hopeful that maybe they wanted to ease him in, not play too many innings in the field or something.

Sports Guy
It’s all about little things that add up to big things to help build up your confidence. Holliday is about to see less playing time but building confidence is important.

Westburg is still playing and just got a hit. It’s possible they are easing Urias in because he had an ankle issue…or maybe they just wanted him down for one game. My guess is he plays again tomorrow and is brought up for Saturdays game…Westburg is back for NY series.
