Do the Orioles Need Players with Postseason Experience?

Javy Baez has been on 5 playoff teams including a World Series winner and an LCS team.  128 postseason plate appearances.

Mark Canha has been on 5 playoff teams and has 54 postseason plate appearances.

Gio Urshela has been on 4 playoff teams and in an LCS and has 88 postseason plate appearances.

Those 3 guys may not be big postseason contributors right now but that doesn't mean they aren't providing some amount of leadership by example.   They did have 1000 PAs among them this year for the Tigers.

I think the main reason they’re not big contributors for the Tigers right now is that they were all jettisoned from the team right around the time the Tigers got good.

Canha was traded to SFG at the deadline, Urshela was DFA’d on August 15, and Baez shuffled off to season-ending hip surgery on August 22. They were 62-66 when Baez was shut down — they’re 28-11 since.

They need players who are better than some they have

In my opinion they need some level of experience with playoff success whether coaching or players.  Sure there are plenty of examples of teams that had it and lost (Phillies) but there are few teams that had no experience and won.  Whether that's a coach or some veterans.
