You mean like how the Os dealt guys like Hays, Stowers and Norby? Yea, guys who are good depth but guys we can stand to trade are guys I want to trade….and obviously Elias feels similarly.
These guys carry value. The level of value depends on the player and you can debate the value of return but yes, you absolutely should trade out of depth and trade guys that perhaps that don’t match your team philosophies. That’s what teams do.
Who knows. Lots of possibilities. There could be another trade like the Hays trade. Or maybe you can get a ML ready arm that profiles as a high end reliever.
I don’t think that you will get a proven lock down guy but that doesn’t mean you can’t get someone that will end up a big contributor.
lol just seeing this but we did fine with mostly tree limbs falling and lots of oak tree detritus. I had to go out in the wind and rain to clear off my patio drain four times during the storm but no biggie in comparison to the damage down south of us. Thanks for asking and let’s get a ring for DJ and the Mets!
I'm not on any crusade to do anything. I just care about what might improve the team. If that means trading someone for the overall health of the organization, I'm all for it.
I think the O’s have a lot more talent than either of those 2 teams which gives them a higher baseline. As you saw this year, a lot went wrong for the Orioles and they still finished 5 games ahead of both teams. Obviously offseason moves can change things, but the O’s are a much safer pick to make the playoffs as of now. And they are likely the safest bet in the AL to make the playoffs as of now unless Soto resigns with NY.
