I still despise the Yanks more. More history there with the O's. The Sox have only been relevant for the past decade. From 1918 until the new millenium they were punching bags more or less. You'd never know it though considering how pompous their fans are now.

I don't think I'd say they were "punching bags" from 1918 until 2000. Unless of course, you mean any team that doesn't win a WS is a punching bag.

The strikezone is big enough to drive a VW bug through.
Doug Eddings has historically had one of the largest zones among the league umps and I there was a study (BP I think) that showed he walked less and struck out more batters than is the norm for umps.

I think he's consistent though.

Touche'. Point taken. Although to go World Series-less for such an extraordinary amount a time would seem to have a rather a "punching baggy" quality. :laughlol: Believe me, they'd all be calling us alot worse if it had been the O's.
