    • I share many of the same thoughts as the rest of you. But if we take the pieces of this thread I do think I see clearly.    We really would like for Melanie to be successful. She has improved some in her delivery on pbp, but is still nearly unbearable. She is still at her best on the sideline, on tv, where we already know what happened.    But her improvement is limited because her biggest drawback is the tool she deploys…her voice. And that is a tough limiting quality. However, if we try really hard, we can imagine her smelling like warm cookies.    I like warm cookies.
    • Slow Horses, and of course, Ted Lasso as well.
    • I went with .750-.800. If I had to pick a target it would be .750, so well done to Frobby on picking an excellent "line" in the poll. He's been above .750 two of the last three years, so I think it's reasonable to expect it again this year (going forward.) He's been dragged down in the past by absolutely long stretches of poor performance, but he shouldn't have that long of a leash this year and if he's scuffling for weeks on end, he's going to lost at-bats in ways he hasn't the last few years. Now, that said, I think a lot of people are going to  be upset at how much he plays.  He will not be used solely as a short side platoon.  He's going to play against righties, and I would expect him to start 4-5 games a week.  He will take some at-bats from Cowser and Mullins, and others.  How he and others perform will dictate just how many, but just as with Hays, Cowser will not play every single day and OPS 400 for weeks on end.
    • A blind man at the ballpark knows more about what's going on at the game than someone listening to Melanie on the radio.
    • Who would have guessed?   At this point in the season, the Orioles have one of the 4 biggest platoon OPS differentials  in all of MLB, and we are significantly better vs LEFTY pitching. ?!? 100+ OPS points better vs LH than vs RH: Arizona 215 Cubs 141 Orioles 127 Cleveland 104 50-99 OPS points better vs LH than vs RH: Pittsburgh 92 Minnesota  85 Toronto 67 Houston 64 100+ OPS points better vs RH than vs LH Milwaukee 174 Yankees 118 San Diego 105 50-99 OPS points better vs RH than vs LH: Texas 93 White Sox 91 St Louis 87 Miami 67 Dodgers 50 The other 14 MLB teams have less than 50 points OPS difference between hitting righties and lefties.
