The comparison of Josh Johnson to Erik Bedard is apt imo. He's got tantalizing talent but can't stay healthy. No thanks. Ramirez also has tantalizing talent but his performance and attitude have been too erratic for my tastes. I'm sorry but the grass isn't always greener and there is a reason the Marlins aren't winning with those two players. Unless it's a salary dump, I don't want either of them. Certainly not for our top prospects. The goal should be to compete for the next 10 years, not lunge at a wildcard this year.

Good post. Sums up the situation for me. Getting Johnson would be ok, as long as we know for sure he is completely healthy.
