If you like to go to a cold and windy Tuesday night game, then you should save your baseball ticket money and pay to see a psychiatrist for a serious baseball addiction problem.

The O's have been away so we have not discussed this for awhile. The KC series looks like rain and probably small crowds. The Nat's are doing $5.00 tickets and $1.00 hot dogs and $5.00 beers for the whole week.

The Reds are also doing promotions with the Braves coming in.

They also have the 4 for $48.00 deal and you get to take home the women in the picture.

I think the O's should do more during the early months when alot of teams have trouble drawing with school in.

The National $1 hot dogs was more aggravation than it was worth for the low quality that you received. Sometimes in life the statement of you get what you pay for is completely true, and with that promotion it is, because it's not all it's cracked up to be.

Wow, that Nats promotion is awesome. The O's should learn a thing or two about those kinds of promos. T-shirts and bobbleheads are great and all, but cheap beer is where it's at.

To be fair, when I clicked through to the link, it seems they're only offering the $5 beers at one location up until the first pitch. And also via some coupon available in yesterday's Wash Post.

Which isn't all that different than the $5 Bohs you can get from the Natty Boh Bar at CY through the bottom of the 1st.

PSYCHIATRIST: "What can I do for you ???"

ORIOLE FAN: "I think that I'm a baseball addict."

PSYCHIATRIST: "Tell me about it."

ORIOLE FAN: "Well, I like going to baseball games on cold, windy nights in April and May. Even when my team had 14 consecutive losing seasons and had no shot at the playoffs, I would still go to said games in late August, September, and the first few days of October when the regular season was winding down."

PSYCHIATRIST: "When you go to these games in such inclement weather, do you show off your really cool Orioles jacket to all of the other fans in the stadium ???"

ORIOLE FAN: "Yes, I do."

PSYCHIATRIST: "Get the hell out of my office. You're fine."

Trust me they can't be worse then the .10 hot dogs they had at the Clippers game in Columbus ,a couple of weeks ago. I got two and barely ate a half of a hot dog. Cold and bad. People were buying 15 hot dogs at a time. One person was going to take a couple home. Yuccchhh.

Was his license revoked after said diagnosis? :thumbsup1:

Pretty respectable Tuesday night crowd tonight: 19,096. Tomorrow's afternoon crowd probably will be smaller. But the rest of the homestand should be strong, with a weekend series vs. Tampa and then a weeknight series with the Yankees. Maybe 200,000 for those six games?

Man, my pregnant wife and I must have serious baseball addiction problems, because we stayed there the entire game. :)

Check it again after the Yankee series is over. I expect well be up more than 10.6% by then. Also worth noting: Game "15" last year on the chart you linked to actually was a single admission doubleheader, due to a rainout earlier that week. So really attendance through 16 home games (as opposed to home gates) is up 19.8%.
