He made a horrible call at 2nd base on the last play of the Nats game Wednesday night. Game ended on a 4-3 DP, he said the Pirate 2Bman tagged the runner and then threw to first to complete the DP, but there was at least a foot between the guy's glove and the player he allegedly tagged. Game over, Nats lose by 2.

Yea I saw that, I was like you got to be kidding me.

Yes, but if you're the umpire, and you BADLY missed a previously called 3rd strike (and yes, I believe that umpires often know when they miss a strikes call, but can't change it once they've made it), you have to call a close one after that.
