Fine but lets not overreact for a ST game. The sky is falling mentality of some is

pretty ridiculous. IMO

The worrisome thing is this is exactly the kind of thing we were warned about - the walks in particular.

Could be his first attempt throwing the 4 seamer, so maybe he just struggled with that command.

Yeah, it's ST, but. We should be prepared for this kind of outing every now and then.

Even bona fide aces have bad outings. I think you could expect an outing like this from just about anyone every once in a while.

I think Ubaldo will pitch well more often than not and you just have live with the occasional clunker.

I never put much stock in how veteran pitchers are doing. Who was the pitcher that notoriously got shelled every spring training? I think Kevin Millwood was one of them. Curt Schilling maybe?
