vs. BLUE JAYS, 4/11

Schoop isn't hitting enough to make boneheaded mistakes like that...let alone two in one inning.

Also, Flaherty + bad defense = wtf is he doing on the roster?

That was a bad throw, but Flaherty hasn't made an error ever at shortstop in the major leagues. He's been fine. That play was bad but that inning was squarely on Schoop.

Yep, they changed the scoring due to the second error.

Cool.

So, my scorecard was right all along !!!

I refused to mark it as an earned run, because I knew that it wasn't.

OFFNY, official scorer.

Indeed. It's a bit silly to be criticizing Flaherty for his defense.

You've made my point for me.

Sample size, bruh.

All of it. If anything, everyone else tried to overcompensate for that.

I just re-read my statement. I guess it kinda sounds like Tillman was at fault for something in that inning. I certainly didn't mean that. I just hate it costs him personally an earned run. I'm not jumping off the Schoop bandwagon, but I am definitely ready to see #13 penciled in.

I didn't mean to fault you anyways. Meant to praise Tillman's ... Kwan.

On paper we had this in the bag. Now we're kicking the ball and getting shut down by a scrub.

McGowen's stuff really isn't that bad. The Orioles had their chances so far tonight but have not hit in the clutch and have had several long balls knocked down by the wind. The Orioles won't get shut out tonight but this game should be 0-0 if not for the horrific defensive performance of Schoop in that inning.
