Jimenez may be tradeable. We'd likely have to take on another bad contract to do it though. Maybe Ethier or Kemp?

I'd rather take my chances that our pitching coaches can get Ubaldo straightened out. Kemp and/or Ethier seem to be offensive versions of him.

This would be a bad move. Norris was great last year.

Norris wasn't great last year. He averaged a quality start less than 40% of the time he pitched. He was basically league average in walks, strike outs, etc. He had a good year last year. That's about it.

If there was ever a time to trade Norris, it's right now. Tho O's would get a nice prospect back and clear ~$8M in salary to use elsewhere.

I don't think Kemp's problem is offense. He has been a stud offensively, even last year. His problem is defense.

Yeah...his bat would look nice in our lineup. With Kemp, I guess I'd be a little more concerned with the monetary commitment.

They must be willing to eat a ton of salary.

The correct time to sell Norris is now. This is his last year before FA, and I can't imagine we will be willing to pay him a fair market deal, assuming he replicates his 2014 performance or improves upon it.

We should try to get something for him. Obviously if you can move Ubaldo that's even better, and it eliminates the need to trade a SP since you'll be back down to 5 guys for 5 spots.

I think DD is wise to check out the relative trade values of each starter (except for Tillman and Chen) in order to make room for Gausman.

I would really applaud DD if he could turn Norris into more prospect loot than what we gave up for him as I hope we do with Cruz.
