So will the team's replacement for Delmon Young be... Delmon Young? :laughlol:

Hey I won't mind bringing him in again. He's a positive bench bat and he's on the right side of 30. Just need another guy.

Bring back Delmon. Let him DH against lefties. Bring in Melky for RF and put him at the top of the order. OF solved.

And if he agrees to one year, Duquette would come back and say, "how about 1/2 a season?" He would if he could.

I am sorry to be snarky, but I am very concerned about 2015.

I don't think that's so.

DH Morse

RF Pearce

LF De Aza

Bench - Joseph, Flaherty, Young, Lough

Yeah, I don't like that. I don't think you can rely on Pearce full time in RF and we'll end up seeing see too much of Morse/Young in the field. Plus your scenario essentially relegates Young's bench spot to a pinch hitting role. Can't afford that in the AL. Also, while I'm not dead set on De Aza as being a dedicated platoon guy, I think you have to consider it to some degree and it would be wise to have some more defensive flexibilty in the OF.

The thing is, the Orioles can't do any better than that without swinging a trade. Morse is about the best bat left on the market. Young played said pinch-hitting role last year and the team did fine.
