I'm fine with Trumbo in the outfield as long as the other outfielder is a plus defender, but right now, it sounds like Rickard is the only one that fits that mold. I seriously doubt that's what the O's envisioned when they took him in the Rule 5. It wouldn't surprise me to see Dan trade for a real starting outfielder before camp is over.

Trumbo's trade value is approximately that of a third string catcher.

It's a one year contract.. not a ton of money. I would have preferred Fowler, but if it comes down to him or just what we've got, we might as well take him. I think he'll hit well for us.
