I hope no one was expecting consistency out of this lineup or rotation.

There is no consistency to anything the Orioles do, from each individual pitch in the game to the multi-year, grand strategy game of building a deep franchise.

We are completely whimsical in just about all aspects of the club. We even seem to randomly have or not have Natty Boh at OPACY. I wouldn't be surprised if they randomly decided to make tickets free for a game, then turn around and double ticket prices next year, then charge kids a $50 surcharge the next year, then revert to the cheapest tickets in baseball the year after.

Well, there's always the consistent BEoB (Back End of the Bullpen). Pretty much as static as anything gets in baseball. Almost Mo-like in their consistency back there.

The rest of the team is totally unpredictable.

Indeed. Mental toughness is a huge part of the game and it really shows whether a pitcher has it or not when he gets a bad call. Does he throw a hissy fit and start throwing at people and losing his composure or do you

take it on the cheek and get yourself out of it. Gausman was the former tonight.
