Buck just said flat out no, he wasn't disappointed in manny's response.

Even buck gets it, but some of our fans don't.

Go figure.

Sure I get it. But I see the big picture. If there was no suspension then okay. But

in today's game there will be. Buck is sticking up for his player. Okay. This hurts

the team for Manny to do that.

Sorry.Im a huge Manny fan. He belongs to the team FIRST.No matter who instigated you just cant do that. He'll be lost for this team for a week. And thats a huge bow.

Buck disagrees with you. He just said in the post-game he had warned Manny when he came up to watch out for a bean ball and that he wasn't disappointed in his response.

I mean, what else do you do? The pitcher doesn't bat. I don't think hitting Cain does anyone good.

Roy, if dude is gearing up to 98mph in your kitchen you let him know you're not ok with that.... I mean I'm not crazy about fighting but you can't take back to back at bats getting thrown at.

I'm with you, Hank. I wasn't crazy about the instant retaliation at first (Manny has a short temper), but the more I think about it, it's like a bar fight and a guy throws his only bottle and connects at close to 100mph. You have less of a chance connecting with a fist than the bottle than came out you, but you have to let the guy know that was wrong, and let's see him handle this without a weapon in his hand, especially a repeat offender. I hate that Manny will miss more games since the batter (every day player) vs pitcher suspensions are handed out in an unbalanced way. But as one poster wrote, I'm glad it's now than later in the year. By the time of the appeal, maybe it'll be close to Hardy's return. We'll lose something offensively surely since Janish will be at SS, but we lost Manny for 2/3 of a season in '14 and still finished about a dozen games ahead in first place. I'd prefer not to lose him at all, but I'm glad Buck has his back, as well as Adam, Trumbo, Ubaldo and most every other Oriole who was interviewed.

    • Didn't see today's game in it's entirety but I will say this.  I feel 100% more confident with Mateo playing second and turning  a DP rather than JH right now.  JH will be fine there.  In time.   But even forgetting his hitting, D wise he just isn't there yet.   And yes I know the metrics say he is fine.  But to me, using the eye test, he looked very shaky fielding and throwing,
    • I like Kevin.  He is constantly improving.  My only beef is that he doesn't seem to understand that a foul ball isn't always out of play.   A ball can be hit foul, but still be in the field of play.
    • My preferred day 3 WR would have been Troy Franklin, but he apparently had a bad combine on positional drills (which might have been because he had the flu.)  And he got picked by Denver pretty early.   Devontez Walker is kind of intriguing.  He's 6'2", barely.   A bit on the skinny side but ran in the mid-4.3s.  His route tree is pretty limited, mostly short quickouts/slants and go/post routes. But he's really good at the deep routes.  Sort of a discount DK.  He's reported to have good hands and good deep ball tracking ability as well.  We have to see how that translates in the pro game.
    • Adley looks way more energized and McCann is veteran catcher who is good defensively and handles the pitchers well.  Doesn't really make sense to wear Adley out when the O's are using him at the top of the lineup.
    • Just seems like a more controlled swing from the right side, shorter, flatter.
    • He was signed in the Covid year when they only had a 5 round draft, which is why he was undrafted.  Was showing promise bur tore his UCL in 2022.  Pitched a little last year, this is his first full year back.  Nice to see the good outing.
    • What's up with Brandon Young? Out of nowhere (#30 prospect above... undrafted?) he goes 3 IP with 0 hits or walks, and 7 Ks, throwing an otherworldly 26 of 31 pitches for strikes, in Bowie's game today.
